Where is the SEASON UNDER THE STARS venue located?
The outdoor venue is located on the lawn at St. David’s Episcopal Church at 2410 Glenview Rd, Glenview, IL 60025. Use the entrance on Shermer Rd. to access the parking lot and venue.
Where do I park?
The parking lot for the church is adjacent to the lawn being used for the venue. Use the entrance on Shermer Rd. to access the parking lot and venue.
What is seating like? Are chairs provided?
Seating is arranged in socially distanced groups of 2, 4, or 6. Adirondack chairs will be provided with a QR code on each seat’s armrest to scan for the performance program. Chairs cannot be moved to be closer to other patrons.
What if my group isn't 2, 4, or 6 people?
Seating is available for all parties between 2-6. For odd numbered parties (3 or 5 patrons), parties larger than 6, or any other needs, please call the box office for assistance.
How far is the seating from the stage?
Seating starts 15 feet from the front of the stage. The last row is approximately 80 feet from the stage.
Are restrooms available?
Yes. There will be two porta potties (one ADA) and a hand washing station for use for our patrons.
Is accessible seating available?
Yes. We have an accessible pathway on the grass for wheelchair and accessible seating. Please call us if you have any questions.
What happens in the event of inclement weather?
In the event of inclement weather a show may be cancelled. If this happens you’ll be notified by email and offered to exchange your tickets for another performance, issue an account credit, or get a full refund.
Will there be refreshments?
We will not be offering our usual snacks and cookies for these performances. However, you may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Will there be stage lighting?
Yes. We will have stage lighting set up for these performances.
Will the sound be amplified?
Yes. We will be using a speaker system to provide adequate sound outdoors. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer assisted listening devices at this time.
Do I need to print my tickets?
No. Tickets can be verified from your email confirmation. You can pull it up on your digital device. If you are not able to do that, please bring a physical copy.
What are your COVID policies including mask wearing?
Your safety and health are our top priority, and everyone at Oil Lamp is making every effort to make sure you have a fun and safe experience. We adhere to all CDC, State, and Local COVID-19 guidelines, and reserve the right to add additional safety protocols to ensure the safety of our patrons, artists, and staff. By purchasing a ticket you agree to follow the protocols listed HERE. Failure to follow protocols may result in removal from the venue without refund. Please note that COVID-19 mandates and guidelines are always subject to change. Any changes to the protocol will be updated on OilLampTheater.org/COVID and emailed to ticket buyers prior to their performance.
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
Yes, but please we recommend calling in advance for seating availability as it is limited. Please Note: all in-person transactions will be done via credit card and cash will not be accepted. We strongly recommend purchasing your tickets as far in advance as possible.
What time does seating begin?
Seating starts 30 minutes before the show starts. The play will start promptly at the designated start time.
How long are the shows? Is there an intermission?
Both shows are under 100 minutes and do not have an intermission.
Can I bring my pet to the performance?
No. Only registered service animals are allowed in the outdoor venue.
Is smoking permitted?
There is a designated smoking area away from the venue in the parking lot. Smoking is prohibited on the lawn.
