Oil Lamp Theater’s SPARK CENTER for the Performing Arts -- located across the street from the theater at 1009 Waukegan Road -- takes our theater to new heights. Spanning 2,750 square feet, this dynamic space features two spacious studios and dedicated office spaces for Oil Lamp staff. The SPARK CENTER enables the expansion of our arts education programs, now offering classes, camps, and workshops led by top Chicagoland theater professionals for all ages and skill levels. These same studios serve as the creative center where Oil Lamp’s productions come to life.

YOUTH EDUCATION

Oil Lamp Theater’s youth classes are offered at The SPARK CENTER for the Performing Arts in Glenview. All programs are process-based, encouraging young people to become theater-makers; creating new characters and stories during each class.
OLT Education also provides programming at schools, libraries, and park district centers around Chicagoland.

ADULT EDUCATION

Adult Education

This education series provides performance and storytelling classes and workshops for adults of all abilities and backgrounds; all taught by industry professionals.

 

Past classes include Acting for Non-Actors, Story Jam, Empowered Speaking, and Scene Study 101.

Oil Lamp Theater offers a wide selection of youth camps: Winter, Spring, Summer, and School’s Out Drop-in camps.


These theater day camps provide the perfect opportunity for young people to engage their creativity and have fun!
